Author and Founder of the Writers' Resource Centre
Anthony Santoro was born in Melbourne in 1975 and currently resides in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. For many years he worked extensively in the debt collection industry, even starting his own freelance debt collection agency. Naturally, this presented him with a great deal of material for his crime-fiction books.
But writing was always Anthony’s first love and, no matter what other business venture he was working on, he always returned to the keyboard to continue his stories. While living and working in the US, he started writing a crime-fiction novel loosely based upon his experiences in the debt collection industry. Although he wrote the book almost exclusively in the US, the book is based entirely in Melbourne, Australia.
In 2005, that book was published by Bas Publishing under the title The Deception and became a successful release.
Then, in May 2009 he co-authored Get Your Book off the Ground which received praise from many sources, including the Australian Writer Magazine who wrote: “...it is in itself a prime example of how to write and construct a book...”
Again, in September 2009, Anthony Released his second novel Last Decent Man. According to FM Editing & Reviews: "...the characters are gritty, tough and pitifully human. The plot twists and turns but never slows down, and Anthony Santoro has managed to pull all this off whilst also incorporating a touch of humour."
Between novels, Anthony writes both fiction and non-fiction books. He is also the founder of the Writers’ Resource Centre – an online writers’ ‘help station’ with the stated purpose of helping writers achieve their goals in the field of writing.
Anthony has a passion for the economy and politics and is currently writing a non-fiction book about the Global Financial Crisis.
